The competition will take place between the 20th and 22nd of August in Tazacorte, in the island of La Palma.

The Canary Islands Championship of the international class 470, Islas Canarias Water Sports Scuderia – Club Náutico San Borondón Trophy, will take place in Tazacorte, La Palma, between the 19th and 22nd of August, although the first day will be devoted to the registration of participants and the handing of instructions. The sailing event is organised by Club Náutico San Borondón and the delegation of the Canarian Sailing Federation.

The regattas of day 20 and 21 are scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m., weather permitting; on the last day of competition, the 22nd of August, however, the fleet will take the waters at 11:00 a.m. – the deadline for the start signal being at 2:00 p.m. – and the prize giving ceremony will take place at 3:00 p.m.

The 470 class will sail in fleet. There are a total of nine races scheduled, and at least two will have to take place each day for the regatta to be valid.

The Islas Canarias Water Sports Scuderia label was launched with the aim of bringing together all the Canarian sportsmen and women and uniting the main water sports that can be practiced in the Canary Islands under a single sports organization. This multidisciplinary and integrating project has a sports, as well as a cultural, social and environmental dimension, values that are part of the general tourism offer of the Canaries.

Islas Canarias Water Sports Scuderia presents and represents the Canary Islands all over the world… This label can be seen fluttering on the sails of crafts led by Olympic sailors, twisting on the water under the feet of surfing, kitesurfing or bodyboarding riders, diving and discovering fascinating and beautiful sea bottoms, in photos that portray deep-sea fishing records and, especially, in clinics and workshops where future athletes and water sports champions are taught about sports and environmental issues.
