Islas Canarias Puerto Calero finishes seventh in the first Dubai RC44 World Circuit

Islas Canarias Puerto Calero, steered by José María Ponce in the match race division and by Daniel Calero in the fleet division, finished seventh in the Al Maktoum RC 44 Cup, which took place this week in Dubai waters. The overall winner was Torbjorn Tornquist’s Artemis from Sweden; Crhis Bake’s Aqua won in the fleet division. (more…)

Islas Canarias Puerto Calero, sixth in match race in the Dubai RC44 Circuit first race

This Wednesday, the Al Maktoum Sailing Trophy match race section ended in Dubai waters. After completing a Round Robin, the local boat Sea Dubai, steered by Markus Wiesser from Germany, claimed victory. Islas Canarias Puerto Calero, with José María Ponce as helmsman, started this last day with options to end on the podium, but it finally finished sixth. (more…)
