Few places in the world conserve their true nature and natural beauty like the island of El Hierro, the smallest of the Canaries and one of the most attractive of all Atlantic Islands.

In an area covering just a little over 278 square kilometres, the visitor will discover to his surprise a continuous contrast of very different landscapes, where he can admire lava flows, volcanic cones, green pinewoods, gentle meadows and laurel woodland known as laurisilva, together with rocky coasts of colossal cliffs which plunge down into waters that are clear, blue and full of life.

On El Hierro, you can experience a true encounter with nature, by taking a walk along its pathways, either on foot or by mountain bike, paragliding over its valleys or entering its volcanic tubes in a new form of potholing.

The woodland of ancient junipers, the Orchilla lighthouse or the Cave of Don Justo, at La Restinga, express all their magic to the visitors-eyes ever eager to see unusual sights and nature at its most vibrant.

On this island, you can view the most breathtaking underwater scenery, with crystal-clear waters in an incredible volcanic setting together with hundreds of subtropical species. Another of the island's attractions is in Guinea Village: the Recovery Centre for the Giant Lizard, an indigenous protected species of great scientific interest.

Enjoy El Hierro using its rural accommodation, in establishments that are full of charm, where you will feel completely at home. You can choose between the world's smallest hotel or a welcoming apartment near natural swimming pools, ideal for a dip.

El Hierro... experience the magic!
