PROMOTUR hereby advises users of the web site and, in particular its registered users, of its policy in relation to the processing and protection of personal data collected during viewing of the site or use of the services provided therein.
Personal data shall be understood as any numerical, alphabetical, graphic, photographic or acoustic information or information of any other type relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
PROMOTUR shall amend the present privacy policy whenever necessary to comply with any changes in legislation or regulations or in order to adapt the policy to orders issued by the Spanish Data Protection Agency. In this respect, PROMOTUR recommends that users read these policies from time to time so that they are aware of any changes made therein.
The collection, processing and subsequent use of personal data are subject to the legislation in force in Spain concerning the protection of data, as laid down in Organic Law (Ley Orgánica) 15/1999, of 13th December, on the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter LOPD, from the Spanish acronym) and its complementary regulations. PROMOTUR shall only be responsible for and guarantee the confidentiality and security of the personal data it collects from users through the web site http://www.turismodecanarias.com, and shall have no responsibility in relation to any subsequent processing or use of personal data which may be carried out by third information society service providers operating outside of the web site.
Third information society service providers shall be understood as any natural or legal persons providing the following services to the public:

PROMOTUR informs users of the web site that the optional or compulsory nature of filling in all the data requested on the aforementioned forms shall be notified by PROMOTUR on the forms before they are filled in.
If you do not want PROMOTUR to process your personal data, please refrain from filling in the forms on the web site. In all cases, PROMOTUR will expressly inform you in a legible manner about the conditions under which personal data are collected and the purposes for which they will be used; about the obligation to provide the data or not; about the rights of users; about the conditions under which these rights can be exercised; and any other additional information which may be necessary.
Processing of personal data means any technical operations and processes, whether or not by automatic means, which enable the collection, recording, storage, adaptation, modification, blocking and cancellation, as well as assignments of data resulting from communications, consultations, interconnections and transfers.
Purpose
The personal data provided by filling in the form on the web page will be processed by PROMOTUR for the following purposes after requesting the unambiguous, informed, and where appropriate, express consent of users in cases where this is necessary.
PROMOTUR informs users of their rights in accordance with the LOPD. At any time, users may access data collected and processed by PROMOTUR which pertains to them; rectify any incorrect information; erase such data or oppose their processing, although the latter right shall be restricted to cases in which the consent of users is not required for the processing of their data, provided that the law does not state otherwise, and when there are well-founded, legitimate grounds concerning a specific personal situation or when the processing of their personal data is carried out for the purposes of advertising or commercial prospecting.

PROMOTUR advises users that the exercise of these rights is highly personal and that only the user who is the legitimate owner of the data may exercise such rights. Notwithstanding the foregoing, and in cases where it is exceptionally permitted, the authorised representative of the user may exercise the rights pertaining to the user in the terms laid out, provided that the communication is accompanied by documentation accrediting such representation.
Without prejudice to the foregoing, users shall be provided with simple, free of charge means for the opposition to or withdrawal of the consent given by the user for the sending of advertising or promotional communications via electronic mail or any other equivalent electronic medium and users shall be appropriately advised of this when their electronic mail address is obtained for this purpose. Notwithstanding the foregoing, users may at any time cancel the consent given for receiving commercial communications simply by notifying PROMOTUR of this intention at the following address:
PROMOTUR undertakes to adopt the security measures laid down in Article 9 of Organic Law 15/1999 (LOPD), on the Protection of Personal Data and its implementing regulations.
Such measures shall be those appropriate to guarantee the security of the data and avoid any alteration, loss, processing or unauthorised access, taking into consideration the state of the technology, the nature of the data stored and the risks to which they are exposed either as a result of human action or the physical or natural environment.
PROMOTUR shall not record personal data on files which do not meet the conditions laid down in legal regulations concerning their integrity and security, and neither shall PROMOTUR record personal data in processing centres, premises, equipment, systems or programmes.
In cases where third companies have access to the data of users for the purpose of providing a service to PROMOTUR, PROMOTUR guarantees users that in the agreements for the provision of services signed with such companies, stipulation shall be made of the security measures such third companies shall be obliged to adopt due to the nature of the data they access and in accordance with the provisions of the LOPD and its implementing regulations.
The access codes (user code and password) which PROMOTUR, where appropriate, provides to users of the web site for access to and/or use of a particular service or particular contents in the web site are confidential, secret, individual and non-transferable for accessing and/or using the aforementioned service or contents.
Access to or use of a service or contents which requires identification of the user by means of access codes may be blocked by PROMOTUR in cases where 5 successive errors occur on entering the code. Notwithstanding the foregoing, PROMOTUR may change the number of errors after informing users of this measure. The block shall be removed only when PROMOTUR has satisfactorily confirmed the identity of the user.
Once the block has been removed, new codes shall be issued and provided.
Users are responsible for the confidentiality of their access codes and must never, under any circumstances, provide these to third persons or enable such codes to be revealed by recording them in any medium.
Should the access codes become known to unauthorised third persons either by accidental or fraudulent means, or should any other type of incident occur which may in any way compromise their confidentiality, PROMOTUR shall be advised immediately by telephone, postal service or electronic mail.
